Real Lettings is the social enterprise arm of the London homelessness charity Broadway. Broadway’s vision is that every homeless person finds and keeps a home. Real Lettings is one of the services playing a valuable part in their work towards achieving this.
Real Lettings was developed in response to the large shortage of social housing(council or housing association) available to people living in supported accommodation. Most people ready to move on from supported accommodation will not be offered social housing and so have nowhere to move on to leaving them stuck. This also means that people cannot move in. Real Letttings is funded by local authorities to help move people on into independent housing in the private rented sector.
Real Lettings finds landlords who want to let their properties to our tenants. We ensure that the properties we find you are of a high standard and are affordable to you.
We’ve been managing properties and supporting people in housing for 30 years. This means we understand the challenges people on benefits face.
As a social enterprise, Real Lettings makes sure that any profit we make goes back into improving the service.
